Founding Attorney

Ms. Sennett is the founding attorney of both Sennett Law in New York, and Law Office of Stefanie N. West in Southern California. She specializes in litigation and trial work in the Family and Commercial law areas. 

Ms. Sennett was born and raised in Orange County, New York, and moved to Orange County, California to attend law school. After graduating law school in 2014, Ms. Sennett opened the Law Office of Stefanie N. West in Southern California in 2016, and opened Sennett Law in Manhattan, New York in 2023. 

 During the difficult times of the Covid-19 Pandemic, commercial litigation was placed on the back burner by the Courts. Ms. Sennett, determined to provide her advocacy skills to those in need, shifted to family law, mainly child custody matters. Finding that this was yet another area wherein her skills, assets, and personality yielded exceptional results for her clients, she narrowed her practice to the family and commercial litigation areas. Ms. Sennett was one of the few attorneys to engage in both bench and jury trials during the Covid pandemic, both in person and virtually. Shch is an indication of the dedication and tenacity that Ms. Sennett demonstrates throughout her law practice and in the courtroom.

 
Ms. Sennett, Originally from Orange County, NY, also decided to expand her offices from Orange County, California to New York during the Covid-19 pandemic to bridge the gap between her NY friends and family and those in California. Ms. Sennett took and passed the NY Bar exam in July of 2021, and has opened a new office in Manhattan, NY. 

Ms. Sennett has a direct, no-nonsense outlook on litigation. She has proven herself to be a zealous advocate who gives her clients the confidence and attention they deserve and need in the difficult and stressful world of litigation. 

Ms. Sennett began her legal career as an intern at the Ulster County Public Defender’s Office. Upon graduating college with a double-bachelors in Criminal Justice and Psychology, Ms. Sennett was immediately hired for a position with a former Bronx District Attorney, and current New York State Chief of the Violent Criminal Enterprises Bureau, Queens County. After three years at the NY based firm, Ms. Sennett made the decision to attend law school and become an attorney in her own right. She then moved from Orange County NY to Orange County CA, where she began her professional career as an attorney. Her tenacity, determination and dedication have enabled her to not only maintain her California firm, but to expand her firm to New York. 

Ms. Sennett understands the importance of a hands-on approach to all cases she handles, and is in the rare position of being able to selectively represent those individuals whom her skillset can best serve: Ms. Sennett only takes on cases wherein she believes she can be an asset to her clients and effectuate the desired end result.
